Craps Online in Canada

The oldest record of a game of chance in which dice were used, was at least three thousand years ago, in ancient Egypt. The incredible legacy of this game lives on today. Our modern form of this ancient game of chance with dice is called Craps, and is now an important game in the repertoire of the world’s casinos. Craps, as we play it today in Canada and other countries, was developed and refined in America in the 1800s, in the days of the great steamboat era along the Mississippi and other waterways.

Craps is one of the most popular of all casino games. It is regarded as the noisiest, fastest and the most exciting game in the casino. Craps has so many betting options that winning is almost a certainty. It does, however, need the player to have a little patience, and a little understanding and knowledge of the odds involved.  Often the simple bets offer the best odds, but with the multitude of betting options, it is best for the player to have a good understanding of those options.

The game begins with one player being designated the first shooter. The role of shooter will pass to other players anti clockwise. Before the first shooter rolls the two dice, players can bet on either the pass line bet, or the don’t pass line bet. The shooter then rolls both dice, and this roll is called the come out roll. If the total of the two dice on the table adds up to 7 or 11, the pass line bet wins, and that marks the end of the round. If neither of those two totals are hit, but instead a 2, 3 or 12 comes up on the dice the don’t pass line bet wins and the round comes to an end.

All the other numbers, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are called point numbers. If one of these numbers appear during the come out roll, that number becomes the point number.  A token, or puk as it is called, is placed on that number on the board. This is called the point number for that round, and the shooter can roll the dice once more until either that point number is one of the totals on the dice, or a 7 appears.  If the point number appears on the dice before a 7 then the pass line bets win, if not, the don’t pass line bet wins.

Craps Betting Options in Abundance

There are even more betting options. After the shooter has rolled a point number, other bets called come bets, or don’t come bets may be made. A 12 appearing as the total on the dice gives a tie. Any other number than the point number appearing, makes all the come bets moved to a smaller box on the board. If this number is then rolled, the come bets win. If a 7 is rolled afterwards, the don’t come bets win.

Players in Canada will find that this is only the tip of the iceberg. There are plenty more betting options to find out about. OnlineSlotsCa.net will provide many of the answers to questions anyone might want to ask about this fascinating mobile casino game.
